Beautiful one Arm Pineapple Sconce in solid brass. This heavy casting measures 8" high and 4-3/4" wide. It extends roughly 6 1/2" from the wall. The brass is lacquered to keep it shining. Weight: 1 lb 12 ounces. Please note that at this time hanging hardware is not included with the sconces. This sconce is generally hung with a nail through a hidden opening on the back of the sconce.In colonial America, a fresh pineapple was often the center of the dining table when visitors were present. Visiting was the primary means of entertainment and cultural exchange, so the concept of hospitality was a central element in colonial life. The pineapple symbolized the warmest welcome a hostess could extend to her guests, and it often served as the dessert after the meal.

Absolutely Beautiful!

In colonial times, the pineapple signified hospitality. For years, I have been collecting pineapples and have them displayed in our home. When I saw the brass, pineapple wall sconces, I knew that they would be the perfect enhancement for our living room! I was not wrong. Our guests have commented about their beauty. They were delivered as promised and were packaged with care. Each sconce had its own protective felt like bag for ease of storing. However, these sconces will not be stored. They are being displayed. Needless to say, I would highly recommend purchasing these sconces!

brass pineapple sconces

They''re pretty. But, I am not sure what hardware to use to hang them and I''m not going to experiment with my walls. So, they''re still sitting in the box. Why don''t you at least give instruction for what kind of hardware to use, size, etc.? Administrator Note: We apologize for any mis-communication about the hanging hardware. It does explain how to hang them, and that the hardware is not included, in the product description on the website. Based on your feedback, though, we will also edit our package insert to include this information. To hang the sconces, we simply use nails that fit through the nail opening on the back of the sconces. If you are worried about the weight of the sconces you could use molly bolts instead of plain nails, but no other hardware is needed.
