This exquisite pineapple glass is our best selling hurricane globe. The outer base diameter measures 1 1/2"* without the optional foam wraps, or 1 5/8" with the adhesive foam. The height of the globe is 9 inches, not including the one inch base. The top opening diameter is approximately 5 inches. The diameter of the opening measures approximately 1 1/4" to 1 3/8". These cut glass globes feature cross-hatching all around, finishing with a pineapple top design.

All of our glass products are blown glass, therefore, they may vary slightly from batch to batch. Imperfections will be present, and are considered normal.

Measure very carefully prior to ordering! Even 1/8 inch difference in diameter can cause the glass to not fit. Keep in mind that the diameter of the opening in your hurricane socket needs to be larger than the diameter of the globe's stem. Feel free to call or email us if you have questions regarding accurate measuring for replacement glass.

*Please note that when ordering the 1 5/8 inch diameter globes, the bases will come wrapped with adhesive foam to cushion and secure the glass in your hurricane socket. If you are ordering a smaller base diameter, we can include strips of the adhesive foam upon request. Just indicate that you would like us to include foam strips in the comments box during checkout.

Beautiful Cut Glass Globe

I find the Pineapple Cut Glass Hurricane Globe to be beautifully created. The cut design in the glass reflects the candlelight beautifully. Also the foam inserts, which were enclosed, made the difference to me whether I was going to be able to use them or not, as this globe does not come in the diameter I needed, but the inserts worked perfectly.

Wonderful replacements

I broke a dear friend''s hurricane when visiting her home, and chose the pinapple pattern to replace it because she is a wonderful hostess. I got her two since she admitted her other had been broken a while, & the directions on how to carefully measure the base helped me be confident I got it right the first time. WOnderful prompt service, well packed product so no fear of breaking before arrival.

Q: I need a 1 1/2" base.....9" tall and approx. 6" wide . Is this really only 1 5/8" wide?

A: The bases of these globes are approximately 1 1/2" not including the foam wraps. Adding the adhesive foam strips is what creates the 1 5/8" diameter. If 1 1/2" is what you need, then you would not want to add the foam. If you think you might need that extra diameter, you can request that we include some strips of the foam when you place your order.

Q: I need to screw this on to a candle wall sconce base. The part that is inserted in the lamp to attach the base is 4 inches wide, will it fit in this globe?

A: No, sorry, the part of the globe that tapers in is too narrow for something 4" in diameter to fit.
