With thanks to our customers, we decided to conduct a burn test to answer some great questions that have been presented to us. We know that our Beeswax candles burn longer than many other candles, however, pre-burn test, we did not how great the difference was. We also know that candle followers extend the burn time of most candles, however, again, we did not know by how much. Our test consisted of four different candles. We had one of our Beeswax candles without a candle follower, one of our Beeswax candles with a candle follower, a high quality Paraffin candle without a candle follower, and a high quality Paraffin candle with a candle follower. We burned these four candles side-by-side, taking photos regularly in order to show the differences. The results showed that our beeswax candle with the candle follower had a burn time of roughly 12 hours and 45 minutes and our Beeswax candle without a candle follower burned roughly 10 hours and 35 minutes. The high quality Paraffin candle without the follower burned about 7 hours and 35 minutes. The Paraffin candle with the candle follower burned roughly 6 hours and 45 minutes, however, because these candles are not 100% beeswax, the there was a drip which caused the candle follower to be stuck to the candlestick. Because of this, the burn life of this candle was cut short by roughly 2 hours. These results show that our beeswax candles burn roughly 3 to 4 hours longer than the high-quality Paraffin candles. The results also show that the candle follower increased the burn time of one of our beeswax candles by a little over two hours. Check back soon! We plan to do more tests, if there is a particular test you are interested in us conducting, please let us know and we will try our best to complete that test for you.
