When we first heard of this product, it was from a customer requesting "a candle follower with a little hat on top." Well, we had never heard of such a thing, but over the next few months several similar requests came in. As a result, we set out on a mission to discover exactly what people were trying to find. After looking long and hard, we located an item called a Shade Carrier in the UK. So we immediately began working on a prototype to fill this void. Pictured above is the result. After a few more changes to our samples, we plan to have these carriers and various shades available in 2010.

JANUARY 2010 update: We promise, the shades and carriers are coming! These items are now in the final stages of production, and are due or arrival in the Spring. We will be introducing the shade and carriers in brass, silver, and pewter finishes. This first casting is of the style shade pictured here only. Provided we are as pleased with the final product as we expect to be, our Fall 2010 collection will feature more shade options.
