Made of solid brass with a heavy silver plating, which is treated with an anti-tarnish finish to help maintain it's shine. The sconce measures 17 1/4 inches in length, and 3 inches across at it's widest point. This sconce sits 4-3/4" from the wall at its farthest point. The hurricane glass is smaller in scale than that of our standard hurricanes at 7 3/4 inches tall. Weighs 2 pounds, 3 ounces. Also available in polished brass. Please note that at this time hanging hardware is not included with the sconces. This sconce is generally hung with a nail through a hidden opening on the back of the sconce. *Please note that the bases of the hurricane globe may come wrapped with adhesive foam to cushion and secure the glass in your hurricane socket.
While all silver plated items are treated with a finish to help prevent tarnishing, please note that periodic wiping with a soft cloth is still necessary to keep these items shining. Oxidation, which requires polishing, can still sometimes occur.
